Mini-metropolis with flair
The "Mathildenhöhe Darmstadt" ensemble, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since July 2021, is about a two-minute walk from the Mathildenhöhe Aparthotel. It consists of the Wedding Tower, which is also Darmstadt's landmark, an impressive exhibition building, the Artists' Colony Museum, the plane tree grove and various artists' houses. The Russian Chapel, which was built shortly before the founding of the artists' colony, is also part of the ensemble.
Darmstadt offers visitors a large selection of regional and international restaurants and cafés, a variety of beer gardens, bars, pubs and discos that enrich the city's nightlife, several cinemas, the state theater and cabarets as well as numerous other locations to experience culture and culinary delights at the weekend or during the week.
Rosenhöhe Park is located in the east of the city, just a few minutes' walk from the aparthotel. The centerpiece of the spacious grounds is the Rosarium with the Rose Dome. Extensive meadows, well-developed walking paths and benches invite you to stroll and relax. The adjoining Oberfeld is one of the last agricultural areas within the city limits and is used and loved by allotment gardeners, sports enthusiasts and nature lovers from Darmstadt and the surrounding area as a local recreation area. The Oberfeld is bordered by extensive woodland.
